error 797 cant receive email

now wireless. tryin to retrive new messages. says i need to "dial up" . Says
error 797 modem not connected! why when im now wireless do i have to dail up
to get messages! Is there something i need to do ? to change "outlook" to
wireless???? Please help! thank you dorothy

What version of Outlook? That will affect the exact steps, but, basically,
you need to go into the connection you have set up in Outlook (probably
under tools - account settings) and go to the Connection tab for the account
you're using and switch it to Connect using my local area network.
