Error 6008

Guest

My server Windows 2000 (version 5.00 2195) running SQL Server was shut down
unexpectedly and self rebooted by itself. I got error 6008 in the event
viewer. I have not found anything wired yet. What is the possible cause?
Anywhere I can check?

Thanks, Julia

If no BSOD's occur (Event ID: 1001 Source: Save Dump), then it may be a
power problem. I would look at a possible faulty (or undersized) pc power
supply, UPS, bad battery, or the circuit feeding the outlet that the pc is
plugged into.
