Error 550 core

I'm trying to download a web site from the remote server to my computer so I
can update and rebuild. I just aquired this website. I went to Remote Web
Site. Logged in and can see the remote server and the web site. I select
Remote to Local and all the arrows are blue pointing to my local web site. I
click on Publish Web Site, I can see "Retrieving pages from ftp://...
After a few minutes I get the following error 550 core: not a regular file.
I get this everytime, even if I try to download one file. Any suggestions ?

Thanks,
Debra

A core file is usually created on a Unix server when the are site errors - say during a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks or server
health check
- you don't need them - delete them all or mark them as do not publish

Stefan,
How do I know which files are causing the problem? At the root of the site
I'm trying to download, there is a file named CORE. But I went down one level
where the site is and tried downloaded that and still got that error. Any
suggestions ?
Thanks,
Debra

You can only publish a web or subweb not parts of it
- the root in FP is the folder w/ your home page in it
- delete all CORE files
