Error 1053: Could not start TS service on Local Computer

I recently installed Terminal Services in Remote Administration mode on
a Windows 2000 server and cannot get it to work. The Terminal Services
service (TermService) is not started, even though it is set to
automatic.

I cannot manually start the service. When I try to start the service,
I get this: Could not start Terminal Services service on Local
Computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or
control request in a timely fashion. I get the error almost
immediately after clicking the "Start" button.

I have tried to uninstall/re-install the Terminal Services and it still
didn't work. And, I have re-booted many times also.

Any ideas???
