Unable to start Terminal Services

Guest

I have a machine with Windows 2000 Advance Server installed, I want to use it
as a Terminal Server so that users can connect to it using the Remote Desktop
Utility. However I encounter the following error on an attempt to start the
terminal service

Could not start the Terminal Services service on local computer
ERROR 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a
timely fashion.

You cannot stop or start the Terminal Services service manually.
When it is installed, it starts automatically after rebooting the
server.

Did you install Terminal Services? In Control Panel - Add/Remove
programs - Add Windows copmponent? Any error messages when you
installed it? Anything in the EventLog on the server?
