error 1000

I am on Windows 2000 SP4 domain controller, and getting a slow down where my
users cannot login. I checked the event logs and got the following error
messgage:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event ID: 1000

Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer network.
Return value (2146).

Have you 2 network cards?if on the advance section put them in the right
order (internal DNS first)
