I get the following error in the App event viewer on a w2k
adv server everythin appears to be working fine I just
cannot get rid of that error and cannot find any reference
to that exact error in the KB,

Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None

Description:
Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your
computer network. Return value (59)

Hi John,

The most frequent issue that we see with this error is that ICMP needs to be
enabled on the router.
The ports that we need to verify that are opened are:
TCP:135
UDP:53
TCP,UDP: 88 and ephemeral ports (high ports)
We also need to enable ICMP between the server and the GC if we need to get
policies.
