Error 0x80240022

I have rad the existing posts, have tried the suggested fixes and still
cannot update Defender with the same "wrong diskette" message. Are there
other more recent fixes?

Are you also unable to update via Windows Update?

is the standard troubleshooting app. If that and the linked to 915105 both
fail you, there are other fixes possible. Do you use Microsoft Office on
this system?
 
Hi Bill, I have tried the Windows Update option and it too fails to update
Defender. I have Microsoft Office installed and am running Windows XP, Home
Edition on a Dell Dimension 9100. I have followed all procdures I have so far
been able to identify including complete re-installs with a registry clean.
