Erro 0x80042109 in Outlook 2007

I started getting this error on 10/7/2008. The day before everything worked
fine. Now I get this error with cannot connect with smtp server. I'm using
Bellsouth DSL, AVG and Spy Sweeper.
I changed nothing and it stopped working. I did a System Restore, deleted my
profile and created another one and tried my Gmail account.

I really don't believe this problem can be solved, but I'm willing to try
anything. Next up format and reinstall.

TIA
Charles

I have exactly the same problem. Have you been able to resolve and how?
