erasing specific history

I would like know is there a way to erase only your history from someone's
computer. Say for instance I go to a friend's house and use their computer.
They specifically stated don't clear all history because I like to go back to
the drop down menu of the address bar and hit on old web addresses. Or I
need to know where my children have been, so don't clear or erase my past
addresses, in the address bar, yet along the old cookies.
Now I have a problem because I only know how to erase totally the entire
history from the 'internet options' from the 'Tool selection'. Is there a
way to just erase only the history of the web addresses that I have been to,
so no one can come behind me, without erasing another person's entire address
history?
The person's main computer that I use has 'Windows XP, Internet Explorer
6.0.2900, Update version SP2.
