Impossible to erase

I have this web address on my address bar and I haven't been able to erase
it. I've tried doing it by Clearing the History, Deleting Cookies, Deleting
Files and clearing almost everything on the "Internet Options" Tool, but when
I open the Internet Explorer and click on the address bar to start typing any
address, that one drops down everytime...How can I get rid of it? Please
help!!!

When it shows up (after you start typing again), under the address bar,
cursor to it and press delete on your keyboard to delete it. That's the
only way I've been able to get rid of "specific" autodeletes. There's also
a way to disable the autocomplete function, but I don't know it off the top
of my head. It's somewhere in tools, internet options, but I can't remember
which tab.

Hi,
This entry might be in the registry in a TypedURLs key:
157729 - How to Clear the History Entries in Internet Explorer:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q157729
For an easier, safer removal method, go to
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm
and download "DelTypedURL." This INF file will remove ALL entries.

These two freeware programs will remove SOME or ALL entries:
IE Address Bar Editor: http://www.freesoft.fsnet.co.uk/ieedit01.htm
EditURLs: http://www.aandrc.com/editurls/index.htm

You might need to delete the History folder to remove this URL- a new
History folder will be created on restart.
See: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

Or, Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP.

Hope this helps,
Don
