When I clear history and delte files and cookies through internet options I
still it seems it does not clear everything. I still have some web addresses
appear in the address bar on Explorer. What can I do to delete everything?

Thanks

Hi Chuck :)

You don't mention the version of WIndows you are using so I can only take a
guess at a suggestion. Try the following and see if it helps:

These URLs you're seeing are in the index.dat file in the History folder.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm
will delete the History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will
be created when you restart.

Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

also.....

CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/
should be able to clear the History and the index.dat file.
Just check the appropriate boxes and run it.

Hope this helps.

Hi Chuck :)

Thanks, Jan! I will try those. BTW, it is verson 6.0 :)

IE6 is the version of IE you are using, not the version of Windows. Do you
have Windows '95, '98, '98se, ME, or XP??? It can make a difference. :)
