Epson Stylus C40 Plus Print Quality

I have an epson stylus c40 plus which is about 2 years old and
This is usually the well known and documented build up of resin residue and
crud from paper waste (dust) and dye based ink . The very best way is to
charge a spare empty with Windolene (greenish) window cleaner or a mild
ammonia solution which acts as a solvent for dye based inks. You then clean
from within the Peizo head and dissolve waste out. Print a few windy pages
and as the ink fades you know the cleaner is getting to the parts that
matter. Sometimes a few drops on the parking pads will accomplish this. No
disassembly is necessary. Amongst others JetTec also do a flush cleaning
fluid free with the latest specialist ink kits.
Tony.

I dont fully understand what some of the jargon means. Can someone
tell me what charge, clean from within the PEIZO head, windy pages and
parking pads mean? thanks for your help.

There is no tech jargon involved - just plain old English;
Charge or fill a spare cartridge with an ammonia solution which is a solvent
for dye based inks. Printing with this refilled cartridge cleans from inside
to out which is the same as within: and within is not without but the
opposite.
Ignore the Pizza bit as that is what Epson printhead technology is called.
Printheads park on pads to seal them whilst not in use. And parking is the
same as the car type - lack of motion. So a few drops of a solvent on a
parking pads could unglue you or infuse the heads - somewhat like Sinex or
an inhalant may offer cold relief.
Then you should , could, or may be able to operate without banding or gaps
in attempted printing.
Oh and gaps are the white bits between the dark bits which you may or may
not want :))
Blame Guttenburg or that Russian Concordski as they claim they started it.
