Changing Ink on Epson Stylus C82

Now my Epson Stylus C82 is hooked up and (theoretically) working
properly, thanks to Fenrir Enterprises! But, I just replaced the ink
cartridges and cleaned them and when I print anything (black or color
ink) a blank page comes out everytime. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

How long has it been since you used the printer? If it was sitting
somewhere for an extended period of time ('extended' meaning 'longer
than 2 hours' with Durabrite printers), it's probably clogged up. You
should try to get in touch with Arthur Entlich, who is a regular
poster on this newsgroup, for his Epson cleaning manual. I believe he
said that he's not able to answer emails for awhile, but maybe someone
else here can send you a copy of it.

Since you get an entirely blank page and not a banded or otherwise bad
quality page, it could also be the drivers aren't working correctly. I
don't know how to get a C-series printer to do a self-test without
being hooked up to a computer, but maybe someone else here would know
the button combination to make it print something on its own.

Now I have the color cartridges working. But the black doesn't work at
all. If a print a document or a black rectangle, a blank page comes
out. The black ink cartridge is brand new.......??

Yes, but the Durabrite printers have a built-in printhead which can
dry out and clog up if not used regularly. Since it sounds to me like
the printer may have been unused for awhile between computer switches,
it could have gotten clogged up. You can run a cleaning cycle through
the print driver, but this doesn't work all the time, and usually just
wastes ink. Buying a new cartridge won't fix the clog. You'd need to
get help from someone here who has experience unclogging these kinds
of printers, as I said before, Arthur Entlich has his own cleaning
manual for doing this, but he said he'd be unable to answer e-mail for
awhile. I'm sure someone else here could help you out, I've never done
it myself.
