Epson problem

Peter Riley-Jordan

Hi! I hope someone can help.

On trying to load new cartridges into my Epson photo 1290, I inadvertently
failed to use the flush button. It fails to recognise the new cartridges,
more are on way from suppliers.
But can anyone suggest a way to fool the thing into recognising the ones I
have, they are brand new and straight out of the box.
i.e. does uninstalling work, different button sequencing????
I will not dance naked in the moonlight but will try most other sensible
suggestions.

Try putting the old empty set in then trying the cycle again i.e. flushing
it and putting in the new carts

Is this the same as a model 1280?

Yes - and I am still working with them. I was just expanding my options.

Problem is now resolved, by using 2 new ink cartridges. The moral of this
story is to follow the instructions on changing to the letter.
