Epson Printer on Win2K

Printer is installed LPT1 will not print even from command
prompt. Printer works on another computer with its cable
from command prompt. Deleting and reinstalling results in
no change. Troubleshooting leads nowhere. Connections seem
tight. Opened case to verify. Self-test of printer works.
As I already have little hair, cannot pull out anymore.
