epson 'perfection 4990 photo' dismantling (for glass cleaning) site*MOVED*

hi guys

my old 4990 dismantling site host "had a meltdown" (site disappeared,
along with the host's home page, etc).

so I've reposted it at my paid ISP: the new (and hopefully far more
permanent ;-) address is

http://members.cox.net/machines/epson_perfection_4990_photo_scanner_dismantling/

for those stumbling over this for the first time: site has images of
disassembly of the scanner, including both the top -and- bottom case
parts of it, so that -both- sides of (both pieces of) glass can be
accessed (and cleaned :)

best regards to all,

mick :)

replies by e-mail, if any, should please remove the weirdstuff from my
address before you click 'send' - thanks :)

Care to repost the link? My USENET client mangled it.
It ends with

epson_perfection_4990_photo_scanner_d...

but that's all I got... Maybe break it into a couple of pieces
or something? Thanks.

sure rafe

it's:

http://members.cox.net/
machines/
epson_perfection_4990_
photo_scanner_dismantling/

admittedly, the URL is 'a bit on the overly-long side' :)

alternately, you can type in

http://members.cox.netSLASH
machinesSLASH
epson_perfection_4990UNDERSCORE
photo_scanner_dismantlingSLASH

replacing all the capital-lettered words above with the named
characters...(there are NO 'caps' in the site address)

I read somewhere the site name should 'describe the content', but I
may've 'overshot somewhat' ;-/

toolie :)

Not sure if anyone's going to see this message but I'm currently working out how to clean the glass on my Epson 4990 and this link would be very helpful to me. However, it looks like the site's been down for a while. Would it be possible for you to re-upload it elsewhere? Thank you very much,

Rowan
