Epson 1280 print dimensions

I have an Epson 1280 using the latest drivers. No matter what program I try
to print from, the dimensions of the final print are always slightly
different from what I specified. Is there a way to fix this?

Just in case you haven't checked this - have you got the size of the
paper set for your country's standard? I found that something similar
to what you describe was happening and discovered that OpenOffice was
set to use A4 instead of U.S. Letter.
