Envelopes

Prior to printing an envelope, I set the color of the return address and the
address to black ink. The printed envelope always comes out blue. If I set
the color to green or any other color, the envelope is printed in green or
any other color I select. How do I get the envelope to stay printing in
black?

Select tools> letters & mailing> envelopes & labels> place your address in
the return address then select options...you should be on the Envelope Option
Tab if so press Font under Return Address. The font tab should be displaying.
Go down to Font colour, press the arrow alongside the colour and ensure that
Automatic (with a black square) is selected. If not select black as the
colour you desire then go to the bottom left hand corner of the screen and
press default. This will ask you if you want to make your new changes the
default (automatically using those details, colours, fonts, next time you
produce an envelope. Select Yes!
Hope that helps. (When i am referring to tabs i mean the small tab near the
top of the page)

I tried what you suggested, Leis, and had previously tried the same
suggestion without success. Any other ideas?

For reasons unknown, some printers use composite black (black created by
mixing colors in the color cartridge) instead of the black cartridge when
printing envelopes. If you are short of one of the required colors, you can
get blue (or red or some other color) instead of black.
