Enter UserName/Password multiple times ????

All,

When I connect to a XP workstation using Remote desktop I have to
enter my credentials multiple times (Ususally 3) The logon banner
appears, I click the OK button and then I enter my UserName/Password.
The logon banner appears again and I click OK and enter my
credentials. On the third attempt it lets me login. No warning or
error messages on any of the attempts. I am always able to login, but
not on the first attempt.

Any Ideas ????

Take a look at your Security Event Log (compmgmt.msc from the
Start=>Run Menu or a command prompt) to see what type of error was
logged.

Also, when the screen comes up, watch while you type the password. It
is not unusual for the keyboard to be not-so-responsive at the start
of a RD session. I do this many times by accident...

would love an answer to this too. It always happens on every machine I
remotely log into at work
