If I was to encrypt documents and settings folder and everything that's
inside; a) Is there any reprocations to be aware of? b) What are the effects
of doing this, performance wise, and OTHER wise?

There is overhead in using EFS. It makes sense to only encrypt those
folders that need to be secured because of sensitive information. Your my
documents folder may be a good candidate for EFS. You probably would have a
problem trying to encrypt your whole profile since your EFS private key is
stored in your profile. -- Steve

You can encrypt things like My Docs, but not the whole profile itself -
since this is where the key for EFS lives. You will get into a chicken or
egg scenario where the profile will no longer load.
