enable task manager

i need some help. the fix that is supposed to work does not for me. the fix
should be

"gpedit.msc" in the run box, but my system stated file does not exist... am
i doing something wrong????

please someone help the dumb woman
 
Hi sjwolfe24,

If you are running the Home Edition of XP, then you won't be able to use
gpedit.msc as it is only in Pro version.

For the Task Manager problem, if you're receiving the "Task Manager has been
disabled by your administrator" error, try d/loading and running this fix,
provided courtesy of Doug Knox:
