.eml and winmail.dat attachments

I csnnot read email messages with the .enl and/or wimail.dat
attachments.Neither Eudora 6.2 our Outlook Express will read them. I am
using XP Home/ SP2. Microsift Outlook won't help: I can't even set it up
communicate with my ISP (roadrunner.elp.cin.) Can anyone suggest a
workaround?
