Embed Logo in Signature Block

We are running Outlook 2002 and want to create a standard signature block
which could have the company logo as part of it. When I go to advanced
editing and set it up, everything looks great. But then when i implement it
into an outgoing email i get a red X in a square block within a rectangle
block. which i have been told is indicating that it is not linked and can't
locate the logo. how do i fix this or am i trying to do the impossible.
thanks - (e-mail address removed)
