eMails being deleted

Outlook 2003:

If I receive an email where the subject contains 'Delivery failure' the
email is deleted by outlook, but I have not registered any rule to do so. I
can see the email coming into my inbox and I can see its being removed, but I
want this email....

I then made a rule that should reroute such emails to a specific folder and
it does so, but afterwards its beeing deleted from this folder.
Is there another place it can be registered that such emails should be
deleted ?

Have you already looked whether the e-mail is in your junk mail folder?

The junk mail folder is empty and so is the 'deleted items' folder.
If I search for the email it can not be found.

Have you checked whether a filter is applied to the folders?
