Email problems with Service Pack 2

I cannot block senders anymore. I used to be able to, although it seemed
that I still got email from those blocked. On a daily basis, I get 20-30
unwanted emails from whoever and I can't stop it from happening. I also get
porn in my bulk mail that I also cannot stop from happening. My other
problem is that prior to SP2, I could always right-click on pictures sent to
me via email and save them to my desktop or wherever. Now, I can't
right-click at all in email, and I have been unable to save any pics. If I
want to forward messages (with pics), I can't do it. Attaching any pics at
all is seemingly impossible. What the heck am I doing wrong? I know there
are experts out there who can help, so please help. This nurse would really
be grateful. Thanx

You left out the main ingredient in your Post "Who is your ISP"?
ISP (Internet Service Provider), you could contact them by phone
or over the Net for tech support/assistance. You're a Nurse, now
I come to you - "I have a pain, can you fix it?"

Of course. I did contact my ISP which is my local cable company, and they
told me all is well on their end. It is through Blue Ridge Cable. Anyhow,
it is high-speed cable. As for your pain, well...what causes it? Whatever
causes it, stop doing. Works for me! (hope you have a sense of humor).
Thanx

Unfortunately emails of this type are very hard to block, because the
sending addresses are fake and randomly generated. There's not a lot of
point in blocking an address that only existed for one email.

Yup, that's a problem. It's very hard to prevent that.

The simplest thing you can do is never reply to any of it, take a quick
glance to be sure items you actually want aren't there and delete the folder
contents.

If this is with Outlook Express - you don't specify this, and it's an
important detail - it's a security option, turned on by default with SP2.

In Outlook Express, go to Tools, Options, click the Security tab, and remove
the checkmark from "do not allow attachments to be saved or opened".
Choose Apply, OK, and close the dialogs. You might need to exit and
restart Outlook Express, but you will then be able to open or save the
attachments.
