In the "wellcome"/startup screen, where I need to enter my password, Windows
XP inform me: "you have 14 emails". But, wen I click in this notification, it
shows the e-mail account of my sister, who rarely uses my computer to access
her hotmail account or to contact her son who lives in US...
I checked my passport.net account and it is ok, in "users accounts" of
control panel...
So, how can I change the email account that windows uses to check e-mails
when startups?

No. She is not in my Outlook Express. Actually, she almost never uses this
computer... I think she only used one or two times to conect msn messenger.

Use TweakUI, one of the MS powertoys. If you don't have it get it from
here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

In the login section there is a setting for resetting or removing the email
display on the Welcome Screen.

Or see this article:

Thank you, Rock. It solved the problem!
by the way: I just deleted, in regedit, the (e-mail address removed) key of her
e-mail... (she isn't a user)
Regards,
