Email notification at startup

A friend of mine used my computer the other night under
my user account. She logged into hotmail, now when I
start my machine I keep geeting a new email notification
below my name. I have physically gone in and checked her
new emails, associated my .net passport with my user
account but it still is coming up. Is there another
setting somewhere that I can use to stop this, it's
really annoying.

Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from (if you have installed XP
SP1)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

If you have not installed SP1, the earlier version can be found at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Its Logon - Unread Mail has a check box that you can uncheck to inhibit
it
