Email link in browser will not open up windows mail

The link was working fine until I installed Office 2003 with Outlook by
mistake. The link opened up Outlook. I uninstalled Office, and now the link
does not connect to my windows mail. Nothing happens. I have to use the
start button to access windows mail, which is set as default email. The
email comes in fine. Any tips on how to reconnect the link?

Go to Default Programs, either from the Start menu, or in Control Panel, and
ensure that WM has all its defaults selected.
