email double spaced

Outlook 2002

I typically use "rich text" format for my email.
Email is typed (and shown)in single space but when sent to
a client (or myself) it is shown as double spaced. All
settings in Word are set to single space. Am I missing
something?

I have had this problem, my way round it was to "deselect" use word as email
editor, and have the emails set at HTML format.
