Changing paragraph spacing.

David Farber

I have Outlook 2007 and Word 2007. When I compose a new email, the default
setting is to double space the lines within a paragraph. If I change it to
single spacing, it will not retain this as the default setting for the next
email I compose. I've tried changing the NormalEmail.dotm in Word but it
doesn't remember the setting.

Does anyone know a fix for this problem?

Thanks for your reply.

It should remember it. Was outlook open when you edited the template? See
http://www.slipstick.com/problems/dblspace_html.htm#edit for the steps to
edit it.

Hi Diane,

No, Outlook wasn't open before editing the template. I spent a lot of time
searching for the correct steps and I found a site similar to your link. The
step I missed was the part about modifying the style rather than just
modifying the immediate paragraph. That did the trick.

Thanks for your reply.
