Email disappears when I send a message with an attachment

Just recently, I discovered that the text in my email disappears if I try to
email something with an attachment. What happened? I use to be able to send
an email explaining the attachment.

Are you sending the document from within Word? That's the behaviour, and I
don't think you can change that. Open a new email message, attach the
document and write your text...
