Email address does not work

Hi!
I think this is an ie browser problem but not sure.
When I access a web site and attempt to use an automated
email function i.e. the site asks for my email address!
I type in my valid address,and I get an error
message "this is not a valid email address"
What is up with that? Do I need to change my settings?
Any help appreciated

Without knowing exactly how you type it in, it is difficult to answer.
Do you just type it in the form below?

That one is blocked by my Hosts file, so I won't test it, but someone
