email address auto complete...

hello,
i have a user whose autocomplete doesn't remember email addresses for more
than a day. so, everytime that she needs to send out an email she has to
open up the address book or type in the complete address. the only idea i has
was to delete the original NK2 file. any ideas as to why this happens?

she's using Outlook 2003 on Windows XP. not sure if this helps.

your ideas or fix is appreciated...

A new mail profile should fix it.

thx Brian, but i've already switched her from one computer to another and
it's still the same problem. i did not copy over her original .nk2 file. do
you think i should delete her current profile and recreate?

Just out of wild curiosity - are you using roaming profiles?

Creating a new mail profile is the only fix for this issue as the profile is
corrupt.

Since mail profiles are PC-specific, it appears you have the same problem on
each PC.

i did not copy over her original .nk2 file.

I don't see that that is relevant, unless she needs access to all the old
addresses. The NK2 file she has should retain whatever address she enters
in the recipient fields when she sends mail. If that doesn't happen, then
it's nearly always a mail profile problem.

Just create the new profile without deleting the old one. You can always
delete it later if you wish.
