Since others aren't having the same problems, I do suspect the printer
drivers.
I don't think PPT 2000 has the "compress pictures" option on the Picture
toolbar. That's the feature which allows you to actually cut those cropped
areas so they no longer exist in the presentation. It's available in 2002
and 2003, but I can't remember about 2000...
Anyway, try updating your printer drivers--or even change back to the old
ones if possible (and if updating again doesn't work)--and if that doesn't
do the trick, poke around on HP's help forums on their website and see if
anyone there has run across this type of thing.

Thanks for the reply... I have Powerpoint from Microsoft Office 2000
Professional. What is happening is everyone else in my university class
prints out their notes fine and the graphics are all correct. But for some
reason alot of the graphics for me print out incorrectly. I think something
may have happened when someone did download some drivers for my printer just
a couple weeks ago (its a HP Deskjet 842C). So basically the profs don't
seem to be actually cropping the pictures fully because when you try to edit
the picture by double-clicking it, the full picture is still there but only
the small portion is visible on the slide! So I have no idea what happened
that my printer likes to recognize the whole thing. Hopefully you may have
some suggestion with what I could do...
