e mails remain in the outbox even though it has been sent

Just recently all the e mails I send remain in the outbox, but I have had
replies to some of them so I know they are being sent. I need to know how to
correct this so they show in the sent box again as they used to. I have no
idea what changed this as it's worked Ok for 2 years.

The first thing to do is to make sure you disable any mail scanning with
your antivirus program, especially the outgoing messages.
