E-mail Problem

I preview my e-mail in MailWasher. I actually view it in Outlook. I had
seven e-mail messages. I deleted three from MailWasher. Therefore I had four
left.

But Outlook downloaded all seven messages.

Why were all seven messages downloaded?

Thank you,

Barry Karas

PS Before I contact either or both of the manufacturers I would like to know
which company is responsible for the snafu?

I am not a MailWasher user. However, if you actually deleted the messages,
then Outlook would not have been able to download them from the server.
Perhaps, you instead marked the messages for deletion, of similar action. I
suggest that you scrutinize MailWasher documentation and settings and
perhaps check in with a MW forum.

Barry,
Hard to tell why all seven were downloaded. Outlook just downloads what's on the mail server.
Given MailWasher is the "filter", you most likely can blame it for this episode.

Have you tried changing Outlook's settings to not to leave messages on the
server?

Regarding MailWasher, you could try asking here:

Did you click on "Process Mail" or "Mail Program"? The latter will not
filter your mail and you'll download it all.

Yes to process mail. I use it for deleting messages that I choose to
delete.

I choose to go to my mail program [in this case Outlook] after I
processed the mail in MailWasher.
