I use Windows e-mail with Windows Vista. When I open an e-mail attachment
with text, the window is shifted to the right about 3/4" and scroll up/down
buttons are not visible so that I can scroll up or down. Any ideas on how to
fix this problem?

Just a suggestion since I have never encountered such problem........
Put the cursor to the extreme right with the pointer pointing at the edge of
the window , cursor should change to a 2-headed pointer.
Click and HOLD, drag it farther to the right.
You can do the same on the Left side and see which side works better.

Tried that earlier and it doesn't work. Thanks for the reply.

Something to try . . . . .

Position your mouse on the very top title bar of the opened mail item window
(usually has the subject of the email as the window title) and right click -
you will see options to "Move" and to "Size" the window. Picking either of
these turns the cursor into a 4-way pointer which you then use to drag the
email left, or position it over a corner of the window to shrink or enlarge
the size. Once you get it moved and closed normally, POSSIBLY subsequent
emails will open in a more appropriate manner.

Give it a shot and let us know . . . . . .

You should be able to just left-click on the caption area, hold down the
button, and drag the window where you need to. The caption area is the top
part of the message; the part that slk759 says "usually has the subject of
the email as the window title".

Your problem is probably solved more appropriately by adjusting your
monitor. You might get someone else to help you with this. You probably need
to use the buttons on the monitor to either adjust the image over to the
left or reduce the size of the image or both. You are probably having
similar problems with other windows and adjusting the monitor will fix all
of them.
