E-Mail and how to do

I enter indivicual projects into a database via a form. I include the e-mail
address of the salesperson that sent the project request when entering the
project. After the project is completed we send it back to the person that
sent it. At some point they are to respond back and tell us if they were
sucessful or not in gaining the business based on the project results.

We want to send an e-mail to the salesperson if we do not hear back from
them by 30 days after the completion of the project. I am trying to figure
out the best way to do this. I want to either hit one button and e-mails
are created for each project (over 30 days)that have an open status. Or put
a macro button on the entry form and send an e-mail for that project only.

Here is the other thing--I will need to personalize the e-mail so that it
shows the project name for each salesperson. I know that a report using a
query for all open projects would work best----however, we are sending
reports to all salespeople now via an Excel file listing all of the open
projects. The problem is not every salesperson is willing to open the
spreadsheet and look for their projects, enter the information we are asking
for, and then send it back. (LAZY SOB's)

I had tried individual e-mails using the voting button but I have a clerical
person that spends too much time (even with a template) creating the e-mail
and then entering the information back into a spreadsheet for me to use to
update the database.

Is it possible to do a mass mailing or would that overwhelm Outlook
considering I may have 100 + open projects? Can a mass mailing be done if I
want the project name to show on the subject line. If I go individual
project on the entry form I am assuming as part of the macro I can pull in
the name of the project to put in the subject line, pull in the e-mail
address, and obviously include the message on what we are looking for.

I appreciate the help.

Thanks

Michael

Hi all,

One of the solution will be to download the file "Email.mdb" at the
following site and to add and mofified it to your needs.
http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/Otherdownload.asp?SampleName='Emails.mdb'

This is what I did, and all is working perfectly,
