e-mail address field problem

I have two desktop computers connected via a router. One of the computers
is, and has been used for e-mail and utilizes Outlook and has been configured
to recieve/send mail. I have had no problems with this for a long time but
now would like to configure the second computer (Outlook) to also
capture/send e-mail. After configuring Outlook on the second computer using
identical parameters that work on the first computer I get an error message
stating that there is a problem with the e-mail address field. I have
checked this and am sure the e-mail address field is accurate. When testing
the parameters, there is no problem with finding either the incoming or
outgoing server and in fact I can receive e-mail but cannot send as a result
of the e-mail address field error. Any suggestions on what might be causing
this and how to correct this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi Alan,
My first computer works fine. The second computer never worked from the
beginning after configuring Outlook. Do you know of anyone else who has this
problem?

Hi Alan,
See if your second computer has the MS Office ServicePak 3 update. If not,
download it from the MS website. This should fix your problem. My second
computer did not have this update, once I updated it, my problem was resolved.
Good luck
Matt
