DVD Writer

Help Please, My problem is that I have a Pioneer DVR111D DVD/cd Combo Writer,
I can read and write to CD but, can only read a DVD. My computer will not
write to DVD it tells me that my drive is "read only". This drive came with
my computer and did work at one time. I am trying not to have to format my
whole computer and it will not restore now either. I have come to the
conclusion that I am missing dvd write drivers and was wondering if there is
a place to go and download some. I have gone to the Pioneer web site and they
tell me that my drive uses microsofts generic drivers. Help!

What software are you using to write to DVD's? Windows XP has no built in
ability to write to DVD's, you need third party software. There are no
special drivers required, just burning software that supports your burner
and the ability to burn to DVD's.
