Hmm: A DVD can hold up to 4.7 Gigabytes and a standard CD can only hold 650
Megabytes (less than 2/3 of a single Gigabyte).

You MAY be having problems with the drivers (software) for your DVD drive.
Procedures to repair the drivers depend on if it came with your compurer or
was added on later. Check the documentation and CDs that came with your
computer and DVD drive to see if they have installation software or
instructions. You MAY be able to use the "Add / Remove Hardware" applet in
the Windows Control Panel with a Windows or DVD drive installation CD. If
you have further trouble report back with manufacturer & model specifics, of
your computer and DVD drive in the hopes someone with simmilar hardware can
compare their installation to yours.

Yes, it's possible, but a DVD has a capacity of 4 to 9 gigabytes, while
a CD has a capacity of 700 megabytes (0.7 gigabytes). If the DVD was
less than 700 megs (e.g. it was mostly empty) you could do it. But if
you want to copy a significantly full DVD to CD, no, you can't do it.
If it was a pure data DVD, you might be able to split it across multiple
CDs, but that won't work with a program DVD that thinks it's all on one
disc and thinks it knows where to find things.

There ARE NOT any drivers for a DVD drive. Note, his issue was with
using DATA DVDs, not "movie, video" DVDs.

That's like trying to put 10 pounds of crap in a 1 pound bag. A DVD holds
much more data than a CD can accept.

1) A DVD drive can be had for less than $50.
2) DVD software such as WinDVD or Power DVD must
be installed on the PC to use DVD videos etc...
