DVD-RW burning and Windows XP

Hi, Only CD Bruning. DVD burning can be done with third party software.

The XP operating system doesn't do either one itself. It does have
facilities for burning CD-Rs. To burn DVDs, DVD-RWs, and CD-RWs you
have to use a third party program. There are quite a few that fit the
bill.
 
And I would only add to that there are good freeware burners available too.
Sony CD Extreme is one.
