DVD rom problems sp2

After installing sp2 my samsung sd16f dvd rom ceases to
function, it shows up ok in bios, lists as working
correctly in system information and is seen in my
computer correctly. However when I insert either a dvd or
cd in the drive then the disc is not scene in my computer
and if I either right or left click on it h=then my
computer stops responding and the hourglass symbol keeps
up. I have tried uninstalling the dvd rom drive and re-
booting and re-installing, no change. If I uninstall sp2
the the drive works normally again. Any ideas?

Did you check with Samsung for updated drivers? FAQs on their site list
known SP2 issues?

Managed to sort it by downloading new nvidia ngage
chipset drivers, cured it completely.
