DVD Rom and CD RW

I'm about to replace my CD-Rom with a DVD-Rom. I have a CD-RW in my PC and I
was wondering if hooking these two up as master and slave will affect the
speed of the drives if one is slower then the other. My CD-RW is 52x and the
DVD-Rom is 48x. I appreciate there's not much difference, I was just
wondering if there was a correct way round to do these things.

Cheers.

It depends on,"Your"usage".
If you are going to do a lot of copying straight from one CD/DVD to
another then put them on separate IDE cables/channels.
If you are going to create,"Images" then keep the CD/DVD
on a separate hard drive to where you are creating the image.
Note:
Getting this wrong can double the time it takes to burn :)

It won't matter. The important thing is that they are the same ATA speed,
which they are.
