DVD player

I would like to know where I can download a DVD player so
that I can use my cd rom to watch dvd videos and movies.

I am using windows xp home edition.

PowerDVD is a good player for DVD's, just mak sure you do
have a DVD player, and if you did get a PC with a
preinstalled DVD player I wonder why your PC wasn't
loaded with a player.

The other replies did not mention the fact that a CD Rom will not and cannot
read a DVD disc. Never will be able to do it. You need a DVD rom drive to
play DVD discs, and it will come with software to watch them.

There is no software that will allow a CD-Rom drive to play DVDs.

Does this guy actually have a DVD drive, or is he under the impression that
he can use some software to play DVDs on a standard CD Drive?
