I am currently running Windows Vista Home Premium. I have saved a movie in
Movie Maker and I'm trying to publish it to DVD. Everytime I open the file
in DVD maker i recieve an error message that DVD maker is not working and
windows willnotify me if there is a solution. I have published a movie
before. I checked my system for any updates to the driver, but all is
correct. I changed the speed from fastest to medium with no results. This
is a very special project for my dad who is very seriously ill. I
desperately want him to see this movie of Father's Day. Please help.

i am having the same problem. any help or instructions on what to do
would be greatly appreciated. after i import the videos, i click on
next. thats when the error occurs and it closes the program. i
restarted the system and close all other applications but that did not
help any.

I eventually was fed up and restored my system prior to the date when I was instructed to download all the codecs through windows support. So far my DVD maker is working fine.
Good Luck
