Hi! I hope someone can help me.
My dvd drive stopped working suddenly. It will play cds, but when I put in a
dvd I get -
"Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it
could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows."
I get this message with both burned dvds and brand-new-out-of-the-box dvds.
I'm using a Dell Dimension 4550 with Windows XP.
I've tried -
I checked the device manager and there are no dreaded red x's or yellow !'s.
Using Windows Media Player and a DIVX player - both of which worked fine in
the past.
The driver is LITEON DVD-ROM LTD 163.
Thanks!
