DVD Drive appears as a cd drive

I installed a DVD drive into a win2k box and it only shows up as a cd drive.
It won't read dvd's. I checked in the bios and it finds it as a dvd drive.
Any suggestions?
 
Windows 2000 doesn't know what a DVD is, it only knows about CD-roms.
Install the necessary drivers and software and you will have "DVD"
