DVD does not play CD images

I

Ian

My computer does not have a DVD writer.
I used the CD writer in windows XP to transfer 65 image files onto
the only type of CD that I have in the house, (TDK CD-RWXG).
I can see this was successful as I can open the images in the computer,
but I want them to open with a dvd player (to watch on a TV),
and at the moment they are not recognised by my (PAL) DVD.
Is there a simple way that this can be done without a DVD writer,
and if so could you walk me through the details?
Many thanks - Ian

P.S Where do postings disappear to?
This is a repost. Forgive me if the original turns up.

Are the images JPEG files? Some DVD Players will
recognize JPEG files on a CD.

Anyway...maybe a VCD would work for you.

Many free standing DVD Players will play a VCD
(Video CD)...check your DVD Player owner's manual
to be certain.

The following software is not free but you could
use the 15 day trial version to create your VCD.

(FWIW...it's always a good idea to create a System
Restore point before installing software or updates)

WinDVD Creator 3

(to download WinDVD Creator 3...left click the text...
Server 1 Brothersoft(US) Click To Download<)

Steps to create a simple VCD.

No guarantees but the following steps work for me.

Download and install the WinDVD Creator software.

Open WinDVD Creator

On the opening screen...choose...Start New Project...

On the main screen...double left click the right pane
to open the 'Import Media Files' window.

Browse to and select the .wmv Video Clip you wish to
burn on the VCD.

Drag the clip to the timeline at the bottom of the screen.

Insert a blank CD in your burner.

Left click the 'Make Movie' button.

On the first screen...left click the Arrow (next)

On the next screen...Choose...Format - VCD

==
Be sure TV System is NTSC.
**You mentioned PAL...you may have to experiment
with this setting**
==

Left click the 'Burn' button.

Wait until the VCD is created.
